Katy is a graduate of Richwood High School in Nicholas County. After graduating with honors, Katy attended New River Community College in Summersville, West Virginia, majoring in Psychology. Growing up in the Monongahela National Forest and Gauley River basin, Katy was surrounded by hard-working West Virginians working in the timbering industry.
In 2016, Katy was promoted to general manager for a large regional restaurant franchise where she oversaw operations at more than a dozen locations. After implementation of ISO 9000 requirements, which fought to increase workers’ pay while lowering food costs and excess hours, Katy was promoted to the chain’s corporate office located in Nitro, WV, where she worked in its legal department. There she assisted attorneys with discovery, contracts, vendor assignments, and pre-litigation matters.
At Hoosier Law Firm, PLLC, Katy works with clients who have suffered the tragic loss of a loved one and clients that have been wrongfully terminated. Katy leads efforts to recover damages for pregnancy discrimination and works with individuals who suffered on-the-job injuries. Katy also assists clients with completing discovery, or lengthy questions submitted in the course of litigation.
